Win dinner for two at the Bracebridge Dinner and a night’s stay at The Ahwahnee! The Bracebridge Dinner is a unique Yosemite Christmas tradition of grand proportion. Held annually since 1927, the event transforms the hotel into a 17th century English manor for a feast of food, song, and mirth. The inspiration for this ceremony was Washington Irving's The Sketch Book that described Squire Bracebridge and English Christmas traditions of that period.
The program is an elegant and artistic three-hour pageant of classic carols, Renaissance rituals, Middle Age music, and sumptuous food. Over 100 players create the roles of the Squire and his family, their servants, the Lord of Misrule, minstrels, and other performers. The Ahwahnee Dining Room serves as the Great Hall and stage for the festivities and is decked with magnificent wreaths, an elaborate Squire's table, large banners, and traditional Yuletide decorations.
The centerpiece of the event is the seven-course feast that is prepared by The Ahwahnee’s world-class culinary staff and planned months in advance. Rich and wondrous dishes delight the eye and palate.
The value of this package (which includes Bracebridge Dinner for two and a one-night stay at The Ahwahnee) is $1,084.
· Raffle tickets are only $10 each.
· No more than 1,000 tickets will be printed.
· The grand prize is Bracebridge Dinner for two, and a one-night stay at The Ahwahnee.

The 2007 dates for Bracebridge are December 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 24th, and 26th. The event’s host, DNC Parks and Resorts at Yosemite, Inc., will work with the winner to accommodate, to the extent possible, which dinner the winner attends.Tickets and information are available from any member of the Rotary Club of Yosemite National Park, or a check or money order can be sent directly to the club.
