2011 Easter Egg Hunt Announced

The event all the kids have been waiting for: the 2011 Rotary Club of Yosemite Easter Egg Hunt will be on Easter Sunday (April 24) this year at 11am. Lots of great loot for our local kids. For more information, see our main page on the Rotary Easter Egg Hunt.

Meet the Prez: Catherine Soria

The Rotary Club of Yosemite recently bid farewell to our president, Steve Shackleton, who has gone on to Washington, DC. We now welcome Catherine Soria to fill his shoes. Catherine is principal at school in Yosemite Valley and married to our local dentist, Dale Soria. We subjected her to a few questions so that we can get to know here a little better.

2010 Yosemite Easter Egg Hunt Recap

Sandwiched between storms, we got lucky with a gorgeous blue-sky morning for our annual Yosemite Rotary Easter Egg Hunt. This year saw 45 kids vying for about 1500 eggs. We had three bikes, numerous books, many other prizes and tons of candy to give away.

It was a great community event and a nice chance to see friends and enjoy the pleasure of seeing kids two to teens scrambling for prizes and candy.

We'll try to get some photos up before too long and hope to see you next year!
